I once again have an internet account after 2 months without one. So its time to post some fishing updates!
In no particular order:
Fishing with Steve on American Lake in Tacoma on Memorial Day -June 30, 2011. Steve rented a boat. We caught 10 small perch (Steve got 6, I got 4). Super fun to actually catch fish after getting skunked so often.

Makerbot kit has been delevered
Here is the official update:
The kit has been delivered to H's house at last. But due to everyone's travel plans the first good time to get together to work on it will be August 27/28. That give us lots of time to prepare Sketchup files and AutoCAD STL files. (total nerd speak).
On a slightly related topic - There is a dutch version of the Makerbot called the UltiMaker. Same basic principal. The main difference is that the extruder travels in the X & Y axis and the build platform travels in the Z direction - which is the exact opposite of the MakerBot. The web site says that they've only sold 150 kits (versus 5000 MakerBots sold so far).

Boating (and a little fishing) Saturday June 25th.
Ron (H's step-dad) bought a very nice boat and we (Ron, H, Elliott and I) took it out for a little spin on the Columbia River (I think we were mostly in the Multnomah Channel). We departed from the Scappoose Bay Marina and headed south. We tied up to some pilings for a bit of fishing (with worms) but no fish were caught. It was extremely fun. Later we all went over to H's house in Warren and had a nice BBQ with Snjezana and the kids.
Another Random trip to Willamette Park
On June 12th I did an hour of early morning fishing at Willamette park. There were no fish caught, and not even any nibbles, but I took some nice photos that I goofified with google Picnik:

A perfect day for clamming. I got my limit of 15. Everyone got a good load of nice fat juicy Pacific Razor clams. .

Ellen looking for clam #1
A bucket of big ones.
Bills Fishin' Hole, Orting Wa.
A bit like shooting fish in a barrel except using a fishing pole instead of a gun. It was fun to catch magnificent trophy size Rainbow trout even if it was pretty easy. It was good to see old friends also. (Trish, Carisa, Daemain)
Those are some very nice trout

That Evening Steve rocked the house at JazzBones.
The next day I had a job-site visit at the UW to look at cast stone parts of this building:
