I was back at the Willamette Park dock early Wednesday morning (Jan 26) and I met two other fishermen. The Russian could not speak English but he did catch this fish and offered it to me:
Not sure what it is, but it is a very fine fish.
It was a foggy morning on the river:
The other person fishing was named Shawn, and this is what he caught 10 minutes after I got there:
This Sturgeon was 31 inches long. The bait was anchovies tied on (with elastic thread) to a very large (#4) barb less hook and 30# line (80# leader). I think Shawn knows what he's doing.
